Drayton Manor
Park
It has to be said that we are
very lucky to hold the Springnationals at Drayton Manor, great
camping, great entertainment and all that the Park holds for
us. All this normally results in a fantastic weekend for all
the Family. That is unless your venue has the worst weather
it has had in fifteen years!
Such a shame as pre entries where slightly up on last year,
with Debut cars well up on previous years, some of which failed
to turn up due to the weather, that being said, those hardy
Rodders that did venture out for the weekend made the very
best of it, with copious amounts of the Old British Bulldog
spirit in evidence.

Grayson's 34 took a Top 10 |
It wasn’t all dome n gloom weather wise
(well not quite) as you can see from the pics.
Entertainment was supplied by Wendy’s Disco over the
weekend and made a great job of it as always, and the Cadillac
Kings played Live for us on the Saturday evening, who incidentally
will be making an appearance at the Nats in August.
Prize giving was brought forward 2 hours as the heavens truly
opened making the showfield a bog, the torrential rain and
strong wind made for the first drive by prize giving ever
seen.
Top honours went to Steve Fletchers Woody for the second year
running and Top Debut went to Roy Walkers 35 (checkout Garage
scene for some build up pics)
Thanks to Drayton for
their hospitality, Roadsure for sponsoring the event and all
who attended, you can honestly say “I survived the Drayton
Monsoon!”
